I've always been attracted to the idea of fully devoting oneself to a person or cause one deems worthy of one's life - that loyalty, I find, is so rarely found in a truly pure form, that when it occurs, I can't help but find it all the more powerful.

I believe Bjorn was one of the few people Askeladd truly trusted and came to respect in his lifetime, despite him being a Dane. He was, after all, his "only friend"...
