Then, slightly bigger hands, cold as marble, fisting in the hair at the nape of my neck as his chest heaves but his cheeks stay stubbornly dry, the beast of his night-terrors still dancing in the shadows. I'd wait until those fists stopped trembling before turning around and pulling up the covers, then switching off the light."
